Prior to Your Arrival

In preparation for your procedure, the nurses will call you 1-2 days prior to your procedure with your final arrival time.
There are a few important items for you to keep in mind:

Referrals | Photo ID | Insurance Cards

You will need to present these upon arrival.

Valuables

Jewelry, money and credit cards are all to be left at home.

Contact Lenses | Glasses

If you wear glasses, bring them. We will remove them prior to your procedure and store them safely for you. Please note that you may wear contact lenses.

Clothing

Wear anything loose fitting and comfortable, easy to put on after your procedure.

Anesthesia

An Anesthesiologist will be present continually for your care while you are a patient at the Center. Prior to your procedure they will review your medical history and perform a brief physical assessment. You will be asked about underlying medical conditions and the medications you are taking. Most medications should be taken with a few sips of water upon awakening on the day of your procedure. It is important to inform them if you have a history of allergic reaction to specific medications. Previous surgeries as well as your vital signs will be recorded.
Prior to the day of surgery, you will have been instructed on the need to fast preoperatively. If you have any questions regarding the procedure preparation – please do not hesitate to contact your physician’s office.
Please plan to arrive on time. Your procedure and subsequent recovery time usually takes approximately two hours.

ATTENTION:

Due to the sedation you will be receiving for your procedure, you will not be permitted to drive yourself home. Please make arrangements to have an adult companion available to drive you to and from the facility the day of your procedure. You will be required to provide a telephone number of your adult companion if they choose to leave the facility during your procedure. You may not drive or have any alcohol until the day after your procedure.
